Trump’s National Security Advisor Flynn resigns

(UDHAYAM, WASHINGTON) – Michael Flynn, the former White House National Security Advisor, reigned on 13th February night after the Justice Department issued a report last month alleging that Flynn had discussed sanctions with Sergey Kislyak, the Russian Ambassador to the US. He is a threat since he could be blackmailed.

It is illegal for unauthorized private citizens to negotiate with foreign governments on behalf of the US.

The report was also a warning to Trump, who lost a close and long serving adviser. He had worked with Flynn since the 2016 Presidential Campaign. He is also held the position for the shortest period in modern history.

Further, this invalidates the comments made by Government officials some time ago. “They did not discuss anything having to do with the United States’ decision to expel diplomats or impose censure against Russia,” Pence told CBS News on 15th January.

Some say that it is unlikely that Flynn, a retired lieutenant general who headed the Defense Intelligence Agency, would do this. And there is still a lot of back and forth over the topic of his discussion with Kislak.
