‘Titanic’ actor Bill Paxton dies at 61

(UDHAYAM, CALIFORNIA) – Bill Paxton, an American actor, passed away on 25th February, due to complications during surgery. Family members did not reveal the Hospital or the type of surgery. He was 61 years old.

This prolific actor has appeared in The Terminator (1984), Aliens (1986), Apollo 13 (1995) and Twister (1996). His most memorable role is perhaps the treasure hunter from the beginning of Titanic (1997), where he searched the wreck of the Titanic for the necklace of Rose (Kate Winslet).

He recently rose to fame as the father of a polygamist family in the hit ABC TV series ‘Big Love’. He was nominated for three Golden Globes for his performance.

James Cameron, who frequently cast him in his films, stated, “The world is a lesser place for his passing, and I will profoundly miss him.” they had worked together in The Terminator, Aliens, True Lies and Titanic. (Courtesy – BBC)
