UTV | COLOMBO – The lifetime award of veteran filmmaker, late Dr. Lester James Peries which was reported missing has been found in a private bus.
It was found at around 8 am.
Police Media Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the award was found in the overhead rack of a private bus operating on the 177 route from Kaduwela to Colpetty.
Later, the bus driver and the conductor had alerted the police.
Now the bus is kept at the Colpetty Police.
The widow of late Dr. Peries, Sumithra Peries had identified the award.
Police said the award will be returned after investigations are completed.
