Sri Lanka beat India to end losing streak – [IMAGES]

UTV | COLOMBO – Sri Lanka beat India by seven wickets in the first ODI at Dharamsala.

Batting first India made 112 and in reply Sri Lanka reached the target in the 21st over.

Tharanga made 49.

With this win, Sri Lanka ended the 12-match losing streak.

Records galore:

India’s total was their 3rd lowest in ODIs at home and their lowest at home when batting first.

India’s lowest total at home overall is also against Sri Lanka, 78 in Kanpur in 1986.

Sri Lanka reached the target of 113 off just 20.4 overs. It means 176 balls were remaining.

The margin of defeat for India in terms of balls remaining, their biggest ever in ODIs at home.

Overall, this is their 3rd-biggest loss in terms of balls remaining and all the 3 have come against Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka bowled 13 maiden overs in the Indian innings.

It was the most in an ODI for India. It is also the highest for any side in ODIs in the last 10 years.
