(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Sri Lanka Navy emerged wining a number of events in the 66th National & Veteran Lifesaving Tournament conducted at the swimming complex of Sri Jayawardenapura University and at sea off Mount Lavinia recently.
Two teams representing Navy as ‘A’ and ‘B’ participated in the Veteran level and another Naval team participated in the National level. The three teams were comprised of 37 naval personnel.
Navy team ‘A’ clinched championship in the Veteran level defeating 8 teams while Navy’s team ‘B’ secured its position of runners-up. Further, in national level tournament, Navy secured the 5th position out of 13 contestants.
