(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – A travel ban has been imposed on Chairman of Avant-Garde Nissanka Senadhipathi and Former Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Defence Palitha Fernando.
The order was issued by the Colombo Chief Magistrate Lal Bandara this morning (16th Monday). The order was issued when the case pertaining to Nissanka Senadhipathi soliciting a bribe of 35.5 million rupees was taken up for hearing.
Accordingly the Magistrate ordered the passports of the two parties to be impounded immediately.
The case was filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
