(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Facebook should come under a certain amount of control, Minister of Fisheries and State Minister of Mahaweli Mahinda Amaraweera said, adding “This becomes evident when one looks at the recent unrest stoked in the Kandy District by certain social media websites.”
The Minister made this remarks while joining in an observation tour organised by the Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority, at the Elahera Upper Canal Project, on Sunday (11).
“We should introduce some sort of control on Facebook after consulting public opinions,” Minister Amaraweera further stressed.
