UDHAYAM,Love is in the air at the Detroit Zoo, whose inhabitants are enjoying some themed goodies in the run-up to Valentine’s Day.
Workers at the zoo in suburban Royal Oak gave heart-shaped pinatas to wolves and ice treats to polar bears, camels, fallow deer and seals.
Penguins were given special rocks that were painted over the weekend by zoo guests. When a male penguin finds a mate, he embarks on a search for a suitable stone to give her as a gift, hence the painted rocks.
[ot-video][/ot-video] It was all part of the Detroit Zoo’s Heart Fest event. Members of the public were invited to come and see as the animals were given their special treats.
