(UTV|COLOMBO) – United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) Parliamentarian Sarath Amunugama says the government’s key priority next year should be to guide the country’s economy in the correct path.
Speaking to media in Kandy, MP Amunugama said through a strong economy, the government can fulfil the aspirations of the public.
The MP said 2020 will be a decisive year adding that the government must transform the economy towards the positive.
He added the government must also fulfil the aspirations of the public.
During the Presidential Election, MP Amunugama said the public voted in hope of receiving a number of concessions.
Parliamentarian Sarath Amunugama added the present government has ensured the independence of judiciary.
MP Amunugama said despite cases being filed through different avenues, the final decision will be reached by the Court.
He said this is a democratic and sovereign country, and must respect the independence of the judiciary.
