(UDHAYAM, COLOMBO) – The strike that was to be launched by train engine drivers from midnight was called-off temporarily, officials say.
They were demanding the salary anomalies.
Locomotive Operating Engineers Union’s Secretary Indika Dodangoda stated that the final decision will be taken after the meeting with Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation Nimal Siripala De Silva.
