(UTV|COLOMBO) – The Police Media Unit says 20 suspects have been arrested during an operation carried out in 11 locations over the past 24 hours.
Accordingly two suspects each were arrested in Polonnaruwa, Mirihana and Dehiwala.
A suspicious motorbike was also seized from one the suspects in Dehiwala.
Additionally three suspects each were arrested in Slave Island, Mawanella and Wellawatte, while several swords were seized from the suspects arrested in Slave Island.
The three suspects arrested in Wellawatte were taken into custody in possession of 1kg of C4 explosives.
Meanwhile the Police Media Unit said one person was arrested in Colpetty with camouflage uniforms, while another individual was arrested in Bandarawela with two motorbikes bearing the same number plate.
Additionally one suspect each was arrested in Kattankudy, Aluthgama and Poovarasankulam.
Accordingly the number of suspects arrested thus far in connection to the Easter Sunday attacks is nearly 90.
